Fellow Residents of Kitui County,
Members of the Press,
The County Government of Kitui wishes to inform the general public, farmers, exhibitors, investors, partners, government officials, participating institutions and all other stakeholders that the Kitui Agricultural Show, Trade and Investment Expo (KASTIE) 2026, initially scheduled to take place from Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th September 2026, has been postponed and rescheduled to Thursday, 11th to Saturday, 13th March, 2027.
The postponement has been necessitated by the delay in the approval and processing of the County Government budget for the Financial Year 2026/2027. This has adversely affected timelines for securing critical logistics support and the procurement of goods and services essential for the effective hosting of the event. The postponement will provide the County Government with adequate time to complete the necessary financial processes and to make the necessary related arrangements.
The County Government of Kitui appreciates the encouraging work and efforts by all stakeholders to make the Kitui Agricultural Show, Trade and Investment Expo a success. The County remains committed to working closely with all partners and relevant institutions to deliver a well-organized and impactful Expo. All stakeholders are therefore encouraged to continue preparations for the March 2027 Event.
For further enquiries please contact Georgina Musembi, Deputy Director, County Ministry of Trade, Industry, MSMEs and Cooperatives on 0720430765 or Patricia Mbisi, Assistant Director, County Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock on 0722958842 or email enquiry to [email protected]
Inconveniences caused by the change of dates are regretted.
Thank You.
