Kitui Woos Investors at High-Level Nairobi Stakeholders' Breakfast Meeting

The County Government of Kitui, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, held a high-level Stakeholders' Breakfast Meeting in Nairobi to showcase the county's investment opportunities and strengthen partnerships ahead of the Kitui Agricultural Show, Trade and Investment Expo (KASTIE) 2026.

The meeting brought together ambassadors and high commissioners, Principal Secretaries, development partners, representatives from National Government ministries and agencies, financial institutions, private-sector players, and Kitui business people based in Nairobi.

In his remarks, Governor Malombe highlighted Kitui's investment potential in mining, agriculture, renewable energy, tourism, manufacturing and infrastructure.

He also outlined investor-friendly initiatives, including six Economic and Investment Zones (EIZs), the 1,500-acre Kitui County Industrial Park, and the One-Stop-Shop investment facilitation framework, which aims to ease investment processes.

The county government further invited development partners and investors to explore opportunities in Kitui and participate in KASTIE 2026, scheduled for September 24–26 at Ithookwe Stadium. The expo will provide an opportunity for the county to showcase its investment opportunities, innovations, and economic potential.

The meeting was also addressed by the PS for Industry, Dr. Juma Mukhwana, and the PS for Mining, Harry Kimtai, among other speakers.
